How To: Installing the EZ-PULL Clutch Lever Assembly

Posted by Elite Mototech Support on Jul 19th 2024

The Elite EZ-PULL Clutch Lever Assembly is a precision-engineered system, meticulously designed to fit tightly and seamlessly alongside your bike's left switch housing for optimal performance and a clean, streamlined appearance.

It is crucial that there is no gap between the control switch housing and the perch. A gap may prevent the safety neutral switch and lever from engaging properly on most models. (Refer to Figure 1 for clarification.)

If the gap persists after loosening the perch cap and adjusting the perch closer to the switch housing, inspect the bottom inside of the switch housing. Check for a small plastic alignment tab that may be protruding from the switch housing. (Refer to Figure 2 for guidance.)

Trim off the alignment tab as it is no longer needed.

After removal of the alignment tab, the perch housing should be able to now fit flush with the switch housing. (See Figure 3)

Cable Adjustment

Use the cable adjustment to eliminate any play, ensuring the lever can fully utilize the available space between the grip and the lever.

Note: Large, thick grips may reduce the space necessary for the lever's full range of motion. No adjustments should be needed at the clutch itself—only at the cable.
